    1. Definitely. I feel the same! Sometimes I change up my workout routine just for the sake of setting new goals…so I always have something to work toward. And yep, unachievable goals can be really demoralizing. Thanks for reading! 🙂

  1. I like this. Whole industries feed our indulgences and then other industries remove the harm done. It reminds me of the story of those quick bake cakes. Originally, they were just add water but housewives complained of simplicity. So, Pillsbury added the extra step of fresh eggs. Nothing is normal, until enough people agree. Even then, I don’t buy it if it. I do my own thing.

    1. Thank you! You’re absolutely right, and I think that we sometimes have tendency to lash out against this kind of thing in ways that do us more harm than good. Knowing how to navigate this stuff is key…more folks could learn from independent-minded individuals who do their own thing like you do 🙂

  2. Thanks for liking my blog post. This is a very interesting and true blog you wrote here. I’ve been working on this for a while now, by posting Youtube videos of myself and learning to love ME. It has worked. Thanks for writing this much needed piece.

    1. Thank you for the comment! I thought your post on the same topic was extremely well done! You touched on a lot of subtleties–a lot of issues and effective practices that, I think, often get missed. In the area of self-improvement, there is no substitute for experience, for the trial and error of learning to love ourselves and our imperfections. Thank you for doing what you do, as well! It does make a difference! 🙂
