Seven Road & Other Poems

I am happy to announce that my first poetry chapbook, Seven Road & Other Poems, is now available for purchase on Etsy. (Going forward, you may access a permanent link through the Books tab on this site’s main menu.) This book is 35 pages in length and will be printed and hand-bound to order. It contains several poems that were first published on this blog and some that have never been published, plus an introduction. This is also the first place where “Seven Road” appears in its entiretythe full text poem, in five parts, and all five paintings. And I cannot tell you how immensely gratifying it is for me to finally see, and feel, and experience all dimensions of this work together for the first time.

You will notice that none of the poems contained in this volume, including “Seven Road,” appear on The Used Life any longer. I am happy to have found them a better home. As a side note, I’m finding that I very much enjoy the process of hand-binding this book. The printing, cutting, and sewing. Selecting the right combination of papers based on smoothness, weight, and hand feel. A terrific marriage of the intellectual and the physical.

  1. I love your description of the process of building the ‘home’ for your words with your always brilliant mating of words and paintings, another step of sending your piece of the human puzzle out into the world.
    Exciting indeed…..
