There seem to be some ironies here. This person, shifting through sand, when he doesn’t seem to see the Earth. A very blue Earth. His body even blocks out some of the Earth. I find it interesting that he occupies the intersection of the Earth, desert moon and space. A lot to unpack here. Great work!
Thank you very much! I enjoyed making this collage and spent some time deciding where to put the man. When I placed him at that intersection of lines and spaces, the whole image felt right to me, as if the story-whatever it was-were complete. It delights me to read such a thoughtful and interesting comment, too. You’ve given me some things to think about now.
