Eyes of All Mankind

the eyes of all mankind
Whether seen
	or listened for
from a mountain top
	over city
		sunset
battered and sometimes torn
	still bears
	the minutes of
	splendor
If you were stranger
after another
across the Western
sky

I’m learning that I very much enjoy making poetry out of the stuff of everyday life–cardboard and vintage paper, in particular. The text in this collage actually comes from a 1945 Anheuser-Busch ad printed in Life magazine. As I’ve now made several of these miniature poetry collages, or visual poems (I’m still not sure what I want to call them.), I thought it might be fun to list them in my Etsy shop. If you like this kind of thing, that’s where you can find them, along with my chapbook, Seven Road & Other Poems.
