If the Sky was Made of Oranges, paper collage, 2021
the world is smaller than we are can’t you feel it? this kingdom of carrots is deafening these fish who swim with the deftness of newspapers who crawl to the moon with question marks on their backs i pass you on the stairs and we are two reckless as headlights making symbols making anarchy swallowed by the same half-eaten loneliness at night, on a pillow pretending not to violate the walls and still your eyes clamor for the sun friend, these eyes are your sun the honey is delayed the sky is an alien in your hands the economics of wonder a rainbow in imaginary street clothes
My latest chapbook, Has Had Paradise, is available on Etsy. A curated collection of 20 poems. Bound by hand to order.
Also (I know I mentioned this previously, but I thought I’d mention it again), you can find two of my collages in the online show, “Animals,” at Colors of Humanity Art Gallery for the month of November. There is some terrific animal-themed artwork there, for those of you who may be interested.
Prints for all of the artwork above are available in my Etsy shop. To inquire about originals, please contact me.
