Mallard (female)
I spent time this week at a nearby park photographing the water birds and other wildlife. I have so many photographs I’ll need to share them in several posts. I’m also planning a hike for sometime next week and hope to have mountain views to share with you, as well.
A quick note: you’ll notice that one of the Mallards has a broken beak. Someone told me his nickname is “Scooper” because he eats by scooping up food with the bottom part of his beak. He was actually my favorite subject to photograph. Please enjoy these.

Thank you, Bob! It’s a good spot, for sure. Good hiking and mountain biking trails, too.

He is…sweet boy. 🦆☺️ I’m glad you like these! The ducks and geese are fun…definitely not shy around people and very photogenic.
