House Finch (male)
I love the light this time of year, just before all the leaves have fallen. It’s crisp and invigorating and, I think, perfect for portrait-style photographs.
Luckily, the activity at my backyard feeders has also increased in recent weeks, so I have plenty of visitors to share with you.
There is something special about this collection of photographs for me. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I enjoy all of your photos, but these are very special, yes. ๐ I love the light this time of year, too. The sun’s rays are more gold than harsh. This morning the sky was scattered with pink clouds – by the time I made it outside with my camera they were already fleeting.

If I donโt spend ample time outdoors this time of year I almost feel guilty. ๐ฌ The light, the colors, the brisk air are all so invigoratingโฆand also fleeting, to be sure. It sounds like a wonderful sunrise scene you witnessed this morning. ๐ Iโm delighted you enjoyed these photographs, Michele. I always appreciate your feedback and very much admire your photography.

I feel the same. When the temperatures drop, I want to rush outside and stay there. It seems autumn is lovely most everywhere. ๐ Thank you! ๐ I am thinking of upgrading my camera. A perfect Christmas gift.

The bluebird is probably my favorite, too. He was so perfect in the afternoon sunlight (and he actually sat still for about 15 seconds). Iโm delighted you enjoyed these photographs!
