You Can’t Ignore What You Can’t See, paper collage, 2023
Here are my latest experiments in collage art. I made all of these within the past two days, and I had great fun with them. I hope the “fun” translates and you enjoy them, as well.
I’ve included music, as usual. I love pairing my collages with music, as I’m certain you’ve noticed. In fact, I am thinking of doing an art and music post in the future, with one song per collage. (That’s how I typically share my collages on Instagram.) Really, I just enjoy creating a mood, or vibe, around the artwork that, I hope, brings it to life.
Interesting fact: vintage car collages almost always remind me of Eddie Money songs. I’m not sure why. Although, the fact that I listen to 70s and 80s rock while I work probably has something to do with it. Anyway, with that in mind, my music selection for this post is based on the first collage below, Take Me for a Walk.

Thank you, Joanne. That seems to be how my creativity works: it’s either feast or famine, as the saying goes. I’m delighted you enjoyed the collages. Be well!

I can’t believe you created these over two days. Impressive creativity and speed! Not that your art needs any enhancements, but your music pairings do add to the viewing experience. 🎶

Thanks so much, Michele! Sometimes creativity is like that, isn’t it? When it rains, it pours. 🙂 And I’m glad you like the addition of music. I think it adds something, too.

Oo, I love the blend of reality with the extraordinary in these collages! Mittens Has a Bad Habit fits together so perfectly and the contrast in Scenic is wonderfully striking. ❤

Awesome! 🤗 Many thanks, my friend. Music always seems to transform visual art into a more totalizing experience for me…and a little dancing on a Sunday morning isn’t a bad thing, either 😊
