Yesterday Is Only As Good As We Remember & Other Art

Yesterday Is Only As Good As We Remember, paper collage, 2026

I thought it might be fun to make some retro-futuristic collages using photos from Artemis II (image credit to NASA); so, yesterday, I had several of them printed and got to work.

Most of these collages were made on my scanner. Only a few of them have been glued (or partially glued). Those compositions that haven’t been glued, like the Cosmic Cowboys below, are all still very much in process.

You’ll note that there are multiple iterations of the same/similar compositions here: this is the fun part of collage for me. It’s the mixing and matching of images, the trial and error, and trying to figure out what kinds of stories these images can tell in different combination.

I hope you enjoy these experiments in spacey collage art.
